The Memorial of the Chickasaw Freedmen
In the 1880's several leaders of the Chickasaw Nation gathered and elected some spokesmen--King Blue and Isaac Alexander who later drafted the eloquent Memorial of the Chickasaw Freedmen which was a formal appeal of the Freedmen to the United States Government.
