I have a great-great grandfather on my mother's side named Chilly McIntosh Bowles born in 1848 in Virginia. He became a Baptist (I think) minister. I don't know his connection to "THE" McIntosh family, but I believe there must be one with that name. DNA testing shows I have 6% Native American ancestry. I identify as Black but that ancestry is 47% with 46% European. Don't know what this all means but I'm intrigued by this possible connection to this family.
