Posters, check out "Congressional Serial Set page 1516." I was doing some research as usual and I just typed in Angeline Franklin, Chickasaw freedmen. Her name just came to mind.

Now, if you go down to the above mentioned set and look at pages 1945 through 1951, you will find Creek land being sold in 1904. Some of the ancestors I had already found as stated on this thread.

Let me know if you found your ancestor and the surrounding circumstances as to why you think the land was up for sale. The set has other information pertaining to freedmen. Maybe the set can be ordered.
