My father has always wanted me to learn more about my Native American Roots. Two of my hesitations has been that when I mention that I have Indian blood, folks start wanting you to claim something... so I think, I'd better start learning "About my father's people" so I can know, who, what, when and why? ya dig?
And folks always think you want money. I mean who doesn't but fa' real... this is my history, I have a right to know from where I come.

My Father's name is
Robert J. Troutt born 1936, Okmulgee.
His mother was Novice Beatrice Troutt born on the Coalgate reservation in Oaklahoma.

My Grandfather's name was Edward Richmond Mcgee, his brother was Luther Mcgee. Their father's name was Frank Mcgee.

I am trying to learn more about these folks. Learn about their music and lives...
Perhaps do some traveling in the next 2yrs to see if we have any family still in the area.

My father has land & family in Okmulgee, Oaklahoma. He is currently living in Oakland,CA.
