Re: Why Creek Clans?
In Response To: Re: Why Creek Clans? ()

Well, from what you have said I consider my self knocked out the box of citizenship (not that I was ever seeking), but I am a descendant of an ancestor that had an illegitimate child. So, apparently his choice has made him a bad person (although others had illegitimate children and placed on the rolls). He remains on the rolls.

I realize that bloodline does not change who you are regardless of how you got here. My descendancy from an ancestor on the rolls will never change because documents say so.

I realize too that a lot of people should have been on the Dawes rolls that were not or placed on the rolls illegally.

But, as always, I like who I am. Most importantly my citizenship is in heaven.
