Hello,
I am sure that Mr. Cornsilk will assist you especially about the impact that Stick Ross had in the Cherokee community especially in Tahlequah.
Note that I have the Dawes Enrollment papers of Stick Ross. He and his family are found on Card #338. With him on the card are his wife Nancy, and children Malcolm, Julia, Amanda, Patsie and Clem.
Stick Ross also used the name Joseph Ross and he was on the 1880 Authenticated roll of Cherokee Freedmen as Joseph Ross. He is the son of Hecter and Sallie Ross and Nancy is the daughter of Johson and Edna Rowe. Stick Ross was a slave of John Ross and Nancy was a former slave of David Rowe.
I hope this information is useful.
Take care.
