Although not a Cherokee freedmen, I agree with David that ALL Cherokee freedmen should seek enrollment and voter registration ASAP.

Also, I feel that posters need to be more appreciative of David for what he has accomplished for the Cherokee freedmen/descendants and STOP posting so much of the negative history of the Cherokee nation and their treatment towards the freedmen. It does get old.

Cherokee freedmen or back into the nation (maybe not later, but for NOW) and they just need to act like it. If freedmen don't get out to vote (as citizens), they have no one to blame but themselves.
