I cannot speak for Mr. Cornsilk, but I can say that there was a time in this country before casinos, when it was not popular to claim indian ancestry. There were people then and some today who acknowledge native lineage but state that they come from royalty as a way of stating that they are somehow better than the average native. I may be wrong but the concept of royalty was an imported concept that came from Europe, Africa etc. If it did ruffle Mr. Cornsilk feathers I assure you he is not alone. This is not a statement attempting to provoke an arguement, it is simply an effort to help you understand it might upset some. I know you didn't intend to ruffle feathers when you ask the question.
