In one of the articles you posted, I agree that BIA procedures should be followed, so why do you think there is a need to go before a judge or jury? Also, from my understanding, every Indian nation has its own set of rules for membership. But, I feel that the main problem descendants will have is proving the connection to one or more of their parents who were enrolled members of a tribe, not so much a blood quantum issue. Your articles also stated that there has to be a family history connection to a tribe and the connection may have been lost for some reason. What preparation is needed to come before the BIA? Anyone for comments?
