The Muskogee Phoenix has posted online a column titled "Freedmen Have Rights Not To Be Ignored" which was written by myself, Marilyn Vann. (The original column was edited by the newspaper prior to their posting. The original column as submitted stated that only 21% of the Cherokee tribe in 1996 had blood quantums greater than 1/4 according to Dr Sturms book "Blood Politics").
