Is this the same Silas Jefferson who is listed on the top of Angela's
web site as African-American? If so he fathered a child by Cow Tom's daughter, my grx4 aunt Maggie Cow Tom, Angeline Lewis. Question; why would Silas Jefferson not take the surname of his parents? Maggie's sister, my grX3 grandmother, Melinda married a John Jefferson, also of Tuskegee. His parents were Jefferson Randle and Betsy Randle. Never could figure that out.
