I have been searching unsuccessfully to locate information regarding the Choctaw surname of Weakwise. I am not 100% certain that this is the correct spelling. Family members have stated that my ggrandmother was 1/2 Choctaw and her mother was full-blooded. Edna Weakwise was born in Louisiana. We think Edna's mother was named Nancy Weakwise. I haven't found this surname in any census or Indian Roll that I have searched. Does anyone have any suggestions.
