In regards to the Cherokee freedmen descendants' status as citizens, their ruling was favorable.
When the highest court rules (final decision), there are no grounds for an appeal. Also, when a decision can be appealed, there is a time frame set and you cannot go beyond that time to make your argument.
I mentioned time frame because there are people that think they are above the law and just want to have their way. But why have laws if you cannot abide by them?
