Re: A Couple of Questions...
In Response To: Re: A Couple of Questions... ()

Lola's son would not be entitled to citizenship mainly because she was never a citizen. Also her son's father died before enrolling. No further research for Henry Roebuck.

I wasn't referring to the second Henry Roebuck (the one that was enrolled on the card), but instead his father, who was the first Henry Roebuck. This is the only mention of him that I could find ANYWHERE; Dawes Rolls, stories, or otherwise.

Remember the status of the mother determines which roll, whether freedmen or by blood. She also remarried.

That I easily understand. She wouldn't be able to be enrolled at all, but that also doesn't answer the other question regarding Jane and Green Johnson, and William Colbert. Where I am getting at with those three is that to date, I am the only one in my family doing the research on these people, to the effect that none of my family knows about Henry Jr.'s father, grandparents, or anyone of the grandparent's generation. I'm just trying to fill in those gaps, and am lost for where else I can look.
