Re: LittleJohns of Paris, Texas (Lamar County)

Brad just thought you might have some insight on these families based on the comments mentioned in the already posted subject on this website, but apparently not. Thank you

Hey, Norma!

I'm trying to find some of this out myself! I was initially thinking that they be part of my family that I never knew, but so far haven't found any relation.

For me, since my parents and paternal grandparents were born and raised in Hugo, and specifically, Goodland, IT, that there would have to be some relation as they are in the same area. I have an aunt who lives in Paris, so that lends some viability to relation, and with there being an entire Littlejohn cemetery there, there would have to be.

So far, nothing that I am aware of. None of my parents of my paternal grandmother ever left I.T., and never entered the US (Texas). I haven't completed the research into my paternal great-grandparents, so there may be some relation there, as I have some documentation saying that they were from Texas, so it is possible.

The only thing I can think of (again, not proven at all) is that there may be some racial issue that would have brought that on. I mean, it's rather interesting that there is an entire Littlejohn cemetery in Paris, and then having Littlejohn family buried less than 30 miles from that very cemetery. Too coincidental.

Either way, I'll be getting back to that research in short time, as the kids are back in school and allows me to call back down there to find out more.
