Life & Times of Hagar Myers, Creek Freedman
This new entry for the Freedman project examines the history of the Myers family of the greater Muskogee area. John and Hagar Myers had deep ties to the Creek Nation and the records reflect their history.
They both belonged to North Fork Town, and both previously been placed on the Dunn Roll. Hagar's father belonged to Arkansas town, and her mother belonged also to North Fork town. John's father was a free man of color living in the Creek Nation, and his mother belonged to North Fork town.
And beyond the Dawes records another story about Hagar's life is found.
