Emma Washington, Creek Freedmen
In Response To: Re: 1890 Creek Nation Census ()

Yes, in regards to Emma, the old series card #61 stated "Emma is a daughter of Jack Red and Rose Wells." You know names changed for various reasons, so Creek freedmen, cc#769 states Emma's parents as Jack Kernel and Rose Kernel (same parents different names). Rose is now referred to going back to the Dunn roll as Rose Steadham (same person).

Rose Wells is mentioned as the mother of Willie Davis, cc#429. This Rose is actually the same Rose Steadham, the mother of Emma.

I noticed that Lucy Lester's father on Creek freedmen, cc#518 comes from the same bloodline as Rose Steadham (Who is Rose Kernel). Rose Kernel is the mother of Emma on cc#769.

I also noticed that Lucy (Steadham) Lester, Creek freedmen, cc#518 married Zamon Lester. Zamon happens to be the brother of Sarah (Marshall) Barnett. Sarah married Simon Barnett from my bloodline, cc#878. Simon's mother was Hagar Marshall.

Sarah Barnett's daughter, Emma Cowans, cc#1215 had children by Osie Marshall. Osie's mother was Maria Pond, the half sister of Cato Davis from my bloodline. Cato's mother was Hagar Marshall.

It is amazing how so many bloodlines connect with each other.

If you think I have made a mistake somewhere, let me know.
