Re: Cheroenhaka/Nottaway Records Early 1800's

Selinva,

Through oral history we knew her to be in Choctaw County, AL for sure with some connection to Sumter and Greene Counties as well. I found a few other families in the West Alabama area that carry the Bozeman Surname and connections to the state of Virginia, but no definitive way to connect them.

Here are the links to the files with my Grandma Rose listed in them (Cut and paste the links in your browser and click the image to zoom in):

( 1870 - Look for John Bozeman - My ggg grandfather/ her son in family 610 and Rose is listed in family 611)

(1880 - Family 261, Family 260 houses My Aunt and her Niece Mary who is my gg grandma)

( 1900 - Family 511 - Rose is listed as Widowed but I have no proof she was ever married)

And here lies my problem, she didn't show up in the 1910 census so I believe she may have died and the state of Mississippi didn't keep death record information until 1912. So my leads on her and most of her other children dry up at that point.
