Re: Birth Certificates for Identification
In Response To: Re: Birth Certificates for Identification ()
At least you got the birth certificate after giving the right information that the Vital Statistics dept. wanted in order to certify.
Apparently everything added up for you beginning with your own birth certificate stating first who your parents were. Some people don't know for sure who their birth parent/parents because of what someone told them instead of ordering their birth certificate and finding out for themselves (like I did).
For a researcher it is hard trying to identify with someone that says they are related to me or just someone I am researching when they go directly to a grandmother/great grandmother and try to make a connection.
Has anyone had a problem finding a death certificate? I believe on this certificate it will show the person's last name (who they were married to last, not their maiden name), cause of death and the state where the death occurred. Also, I think their birth date.
