Cherokee Freedmen Still Family

My family research has taken a twist toward Cherokee Freedmen with the last name of STILL, with possible variant spellings of STEEL or STEELE. From Dawes packets, I find a Tom STILL and Nancy STILL who in the mid-1820s had a child named Polly, likely in Georgia. Polly later used the surnames WOODALL and BALLARD. Nancy STILL had a brother named Reuben STILL; both had been owned by Cook STILL and were sold to Mississippi before the Civil War, but later returned to the Cherokee Nation. Tom STILL and Harriett WOODALL had a daughter named Ellen (later surnamed PAYNE and TERRELL) circa 1862 in the Cherokee Nation. Any leads would be appreciate. Any Cherokee Freedmen STILL descendants should know their ancestors likely were on the Trail of Tears with the Moses Daniel detachment; slave owner George STILL Sr. was the assistant conductor and son George STILL Jr. was the translator on that detachment.
