Posters have you read the lastest in regards to the Cherokee freedmen descendants? "The Department of Interior makes counterclaim in lawsuit over Cherokee Nation freedmen descendants."

I have always understood that the Cherokee freedmen as well as the Creek freedmen were citizens under the 1866 Treaty.
