I have been searching for Allie Portee who is the daughter of della Chavis and Samuel Portee/porter.I have only one picture of Allie and she looks very native,I heard Della is native American.I have severel censuses one list Allie and Sam as black and others that list them as white,I have three sons,two in their twenties one looks native,and we are unsure of our hereatage.Any information will be greatly appreciated,Della is the daughter of Wiley Portee and Margaret Parker.Allie was married to Samuel Jacobs,and died when she was 40 we heard it was from tuberculosis.I would like to know more about her as she had nine children in her short life one of them is my husbands father.We have no information.
