() William: Both connections seem highly likely. The Riverside Press-Enterprise published a much more fulsome obituary than the LA Times. I have seen photos of George M. Hubbard but not the one I want to scan--him in full uniform with all his military decorations. His only child was an adopted daughter who I have been unable to reach.
