I found a document "Listed for Sale, 1903" for Creek freedmen's land and I have some questions before I would like to post their names.

1. How soon could freedmen land be sold?

2. What determined the amount of acres per family (for example, 20, 80, 120 acres)?

3. Did the freedmen agree to the sale of their land or did it matter because it was just taken from them (dead or alive). Did they know what was happening since so many of them could not read nor write?

4. Year 1903 seems so soon after the freedmen were placed on the Dawes rolls.

Does anyone have any history of what happened during this period? Thanks
