I am looking for information and family members
My greatgreatgreatgreatgrandfather is
Josiah Joseph(Joe)Mcintosh, Sr. who is the son of
Creek Indian Leader Chief Chilly Mcintosh and Katie
Hale. Josiah Mcintosh filed with the Dawes Commission with the Choctaw Nation, and his application was rejected. Oral family history states
that his mother Katie Hale was a Choctaw Indian
Slave Mistress Of Chilly Mcintosh,Katie hale was
owned by Chief William Mcintosh, Jr. in Georgia.
Josiah gives alot of detail about his life in this application. Josiah Mcintosh came to East Texas
Marion County Near Jefferson/Lodi,Texas with
Delilah Mcintosh Drew and William(Bill) Drew.
The Drew's Plantation was located on the Lodi Road
in Lodi, Texas ;Josiah Mcintosh owne property next to his and donated property and financed the Mcintosh School in Lodi, Texas this school was later
changed to Lewis Chapel School . Can someone help me please,we do have a pic of Josiah Joseph(Joe) Mcintosh. Charles Steger a Cass/Marion County Texas Genealogist has helped me with a lot of Research.Charles Steger researched the Chief
