Re: LITTLEJOHNS OF PARIS, TEXAS (LAMAR COUNTY)
In Response To: Re: LITTLEJOHNS OF PARIS, TEXAS (LAMAR COUNTY) ()
I have been meaning to join in on this as well, especially since I've been lurking for the past couple of months. I also have a couple of questions, because I honestly do not know if I am related to any of the others who have posted here.
I'm Brad Littlejohn. I was born and raised in Omaha, NE. My parents were both born and raised in the Hugo, OK area (Mother in Hugo, father in the Gay/Goodland area). My father's parents were Zebedee Littlejohn Sr., and Roberta Roebuck Littlejohn. They had 3 daughters and a son (son being my father), which one of the daughters still lives in Paris. My grandfather had a brother named Virgil. There are a few others that I know I am related to on that side of my family, but no others directly.
I bring this up, because in my times of being down in the Hugo/Paris area (at least twice a year for half my life; I'm 37 now), I never knew there was a cemetery for them in Paris. Furthermore, there are at least 5 more Littlejohns buried at the cemetery in Gay, Oklahoma; My grandparents (Roberta and Zebedee), Zeb's brother (Virgil), and a Dewayne and a Clara Littlejohn.
I am the only one in my family so far trying to get any solid documentation down on this side of my family (paternal grandfather; I'll have another post on my paternal grandmother to follow shortly), as all anyone else may know are stories using people's nicknames, and nothing written down.
If I am related to any of you here, I am more than willing to help put the pieces of this together. It would more than help to put the pieces of my family together (which thinking about it, I know very little of), and help me understand better who and what I really am.
