There is a large family of mixed blood Cherokees who bear the surname Wilson and there are a couple of full blood families as well. The mixed bloods are well documented in Emmett Starr's "History of the Cherokee Indians." And both the full blood and the mixed blood Wilsons appear in the 1909 Eastern Cherokee Emmigrant Payroll records commonly called "The Miller Roll." Good luck in your search.
