My father (Nicholas B. Portee)was born in Carrier Mills Illinois and also lived in Carmi Illinois as a child. He had 2 brothers, Vinson, Earl,5 sisters Evelyn, Velta, Verla, Elsie and Louise. Parents James (Pat) Portee and mother Sarah Ada (I will have to obtain her last name, can't recall at this moment).
