Hello everyone!

I was reading this thread in search for my family history. My Grandfather, John Porter was born and raised in PHiladelphia, but his parents are from Columbia, SC. He told me their name was changed and was originally Portee. He also spoke of his aunt Nicey Williams, and recounted many of the details about our ancestry that I saw on this thread. As I am only 20 years old, I am continuing to search about details of our history that I know little about. Thank you for any information you can provide.
