Re: Solomon Abram/Chickasaw Freedmen

Kim, I am surprised that you don't know anything about Charley Abram since you are connected to Solomon. You should have some history.

As for me I was separated from all my relatives as a child, particularly my grandmother (Creek nation) and raised by a step father that took another man's wife and child (me) and I was given his last name. It wasn't until my adult years that I decided to understand about my background when I sent off for my birth certificate that states "Abram." Abram from the Chickasaw nation (my father's ancestors). It was Joyce Bear from the Creek nation that told me about my Creek ancestor that had an allotment.

Dealing with two nations can be very confusing to me and also knowing that the Seminole nation is also connected to one of my ancestors from the Creek nation.
