cornstalk...you have the wrong picture..someone has taught you wrong friend.

David replies:
First, my last name is CORNSILK. When you start your side of a debate off by calling your opponent names, you done before you ever get out of the shute. And FYI, like anyone who knows anything about Indian history, you must be self-taught. I take full credit and responsibility for my Indian education.

TC said:
It was those that signed the rolls and sold the land which turned against the tribe....they are the ones who refused to fight.

David replies:
Then why are the ones who own everything Cherokee and you have nothing, including proof you are even a Cherokee. I'll tell you why: YOU ARE'T a Cherokee.

TC said:
Prime example and way to prove you are the one that have been taught wrong.

David replies:
I suppose you mean to compare McIntosh's signing of the Creek Treaty with Cherokees being enrolled on the Dawes Roll in 1902. Its apples and oranges.

TC said:
Research the upper and lower creeks....why do you think Chief Mcintosh was killed?

David replies:
He was killed because he disobeyed the will the of the Creek people to hold onto their eastern lands. Its pretty simple. What you are missing is any proof that any of this heritage, whether Cherokee or Creek belongs to you. Whatever mistakes might have been made by Creeks or Cherokees which lead to our ancestors removal belongs to US! Just because your white or black ancestors now live on lands once occupied by Cherokees does not make you a Cherokee.

TC said:
Chief Mcintosh was one of those people who you are calling the patroit tribes people...however those of the creek which wanted to keep the creek heritage and land are the ones you are calling the ones who gave up the tribes and if they had stayed with the tribe then the "patriotic" indians could have kept their land.....

David replies:
Whether McIntosh, Ridge, Boudinot or any other individual of the tribes had the best interest of their tribes or their own interests has NO effect on you whatsoever. Since you are neither Cherokee, nor Creek, again, the mistakes of our past were OURS to make and they are OURS to understand. You are welcome to your opinions, but until you provide proof that any of this is connected to you in any way other than the fantacy in your head, you are dismissed!

TC said:
you have it twisted friend...those which signed the rolls and gave up land was the traitors and ones who turned agianst the tribe and ancestors.

David replies:
I suppose you are trying to lay the groundwork for the readers of this board to see you and your non-Cherokee ancestors as patriots for hiding, passing for white or black etc. ad nauseum. Well here's a newsflash for ya. Your ancestors were never connected to the Cherokees, thus you are NO Cherokee and absent proof of anything other than the identity you are currently trying to run from, your opinion, while welcome, carries no weight.

TC said:
Those that did not sign the rolls are the TRUE patriots of the indians and those are the ones who stayed on their ancestor's land....

David replies:
If you were a real Cherokee, which your not, a view that Cherokees who ran away, hid, didn't take care of the sick, bury the dead and carry the children, would be simply laughable. But because you are not a Cherokee, true or otherwise, your opinion of OUR ancestors is like steam from pot of boiling eggs. It disappears quickly, but leaves a really peculiar smell behind.

TC said:
if it was not for the weak minded ones which signed the rolls and turned their back on the ancestors ways then the indians would still be on their ancestrial land. Only cowards signed those rolls...deny it all you want but it is the truth.

TC said:
You are only trying to discredit authentic Cherokees to try and make yourself appear to be a Cherokee. Since you are not a Cherokee, your statements about Indian people is racist. I see it every day. You are nothing new and neither is your lame argument designed to bolster your own false claim of Cherokee rather than add to the corpus of knowledge of Cherokee history.

TC said:
research the upper and lower creeks....uppers creeks said any indian that sells their ancestors land would be killed by the upper creeks....so do not go and spread your lies here.

David replies:
What happened in the Creek Nation to the signers of the Treaty, and equally in the Cherokee Nation to the Ridge Treaty Party, has nothing to do with you. Again, you are not a Cherokee and OUR history belongs to US the TRUE Cherokees!
