What follows may be a good thing to say. It may be a bad thing to say. However, I believe that it's the truth:
Few people accept the concept of a modern Cherokee Nation. What you put forward will remain at best an abstraction for most. If they care at all, their only interest is whether or not they have a "blood" connection to the Cherokee Nation as it existed two or more centuries ago.
I wonder how many people who are actually members of the present-day Cherokee Nation really view themselves as members of a nation as opposed to an ancestral heritage entity.
