Re: Morris Sango
In Response To: Re: Morris Sango ()

Hi Laurel,

More details ...

Record #2 seems to be my relatives from the creek census card 51 they are listed as:

Roll# Name Age
193 John M. Taylor - 40
194 Harriett Taylor - 39 (Great Great Grandmother)
195 Polly Taylor - 21
196 Annie Taylor - 15 (Great Grandmother)
197 Fross James Taylor - 12
198 Minnie Taylor - 10
199 Harriet Taylor - 2
200 Lucinda Taylor - 22 days

What else does the series card say?
The series card has the same information but does not have the roll numbers. At the bottom of card it states that Harriett Father is Morris Sango. I don't see an age for the Harriett parents.

On the Creek Freedmen CC.51 it says Harriett Father's name is Morris McGilbray and on the Dunn's Roll as Samuel Morris #1724. Her Mother is Lucinda McGilbray on Dunn's Roll as Lucinda Morris #1724

So, my connection of Morris Sango and Samuel Morris is the series card and the Dunn's Roll. Also, I think my relatives are very closely connected to the Manuel's because I saw a list of McGilbray's on the "Sutton's History of Creek Freedmen Families". Also, I read on a legal document that William Taylor McGilbray was the half brother of John M. Taylor. Anything you can provide is greatly appreciated...
