Re: Morris Sango
In Response To: Re: Morris Sango ()

Hi Marcus,

I've got (2)separate records in my DB for a John Taylor married to a Harriet.

Record #1
John Taylor, abt. 1842, d. Dec. 1900 (Chic. Frd.?)
Harriet Taylor, wife d. 1898
Children: Mose (1883) & Melvin (1886) Taylor

Note: John was married 4x. Harriet (nee:?) was his 3rd wife. Have notes on John, his wives and children.

Record #2
John M. Taylor, abt. 1858; son of Jas. & Judy McGilbray
Crk Frd., roll 193, cc 51, PO Holdenville (aka PO Paro)
Harriet McGilbray (aka Harriet Taylor), abt. 1859, roll 194, cc51, PO Holdenville, wife; dau of Morris & Lucinda McGilbray.

Note: Morris J. Sango's headstone reflects, Mar. 8, 1850-Jan. 18, 1918. If he were Harriet's dad, he would have been 9yrs. old when she was born.

The McGlbray connection I've noted re: Morris J. Sango is via his son, Thomas, who married Dinah Manuel; dau of Wm McGilbray & Silla Yargee, abt. 1853.

Again, What else does the old series card indicate? How old is Harriet? What are the ages of her parents? What are their tribal twp.'s - - Anyone else on the card? Any other notations?

How were you able to connect Morris Sango and Samuel Morris as being the same person?

Now, Morris' mom is Silla McQueen (aka Sango, aka Franklin), abt. 1833.
