Re: LITTLEJOHNS OF PARIS, TEXAS (LAMAR COUNTY)

I found the letter Mike and as I emailed you, it left me with so many mixed emotions! It was powerfully written, yet so sad, because he was so alone. And even though we are all aware of the devastating effects of slavery. It seems that there were bonds that could never be broken and kindness in such times. And Moses did well! To know that this letter was written by one of my ancestors is overwhelming. Feels like we are some how reaching back so we can truly move forward..... It leaves me standing a bit stronger, clearer and more proud today! It sounds like the place were he was living may have been 'Rich Hill'. I wasn't clear as to where the letter was found. So do you think he was the son of the first Spencer? I hope Norman Littlejohn and Ann Littlejohn are still out there somewhere. We are all connected WOW! thank you so much
