I have been researching my Austin/Alston family. William Henry Alston migrated from Oktibehha County, MS with wife Laura and children around 1886. They settled in Brookston. By 1900, they were divorced -- although living next door to each other. They had 11 children.

In 1907, William Henry married Liza Elizabeth Littlejohn "Lizzy." I believe she was the oldest daughter of Spencer and Nora Littlejohn. I believe William Henry died between 1917 and 1927 -- Lizzie continued to live on the homestead as far as I can determine through 1938. I have not been able to locate death certificates for William Henry or Lizzie.

I've learned quite a bit from you e-mails. Thanks for being so willing to share. Any additional information about the Littlejohns would be greatly appreciated.
