David would you please explain that last statement? That if you meet the blood requirement for the UKB. You could also be a member of it even though you were a member/citizen of the Cherokee Nation? it is my understanding that you may only be enrolled/member/citizen of one Federally reccognized tribe/band/nation. Reguardless of your elligability in multiple Native entities. Federal law prohibits being enrolled in more than one. To stop "double dipping" I assume & gaining Federal aid from multiple sources. Say you mother was Cherokee & your father was Kiowa. Both full bloods. When you were born (or registered later) a choice has to be made as to which nation you will be enrolled with ( the situation of a friend of mine). Of course this also plays into the "paper genoside" of the Native peoples. Because even though you are 100% native blood you are only 1/2 Cherokee or Kiowa.
