My story was meant to be humorous and anecdotal, but apocryphal, hardly. Unless you know something I don't about that man and his story, your response is apocryphal. The socalled Apocryphal books of the bible were excluded by a council with an agenda and I suspect the same here. DNA will NEVER be a criteria to determine Indian identity in this country because the very notion is an individualist afront to the sovereign rights of the tribes. Since we are talking about Nations, not oak trees or radar guns, ANY degree of doubt is waaaay too much. Better to keep em all out than to let in one fake! Its all about proof on paper as established by the tribal people themselves. Until a DNA test can prove citizenship (chuckle) NO ONE is an Indian until the tribe says so.
