i couldnt dissagree with you more, my ancestors walked the trail of tears, just because my gg grandfather relocated to illinois for a job doesnt mean that he turned his back on his people and at the same time the white man was breaking treaties with the cherokees, no matter what you say i am cherokee, i dont need to live in oklahoma to be a chreokee and neither does anyone else, my ancestors name is on the rolls all the way up to the last roll before the dawes commission, someday the rolls will be opened back up for enrollment as i know they will and then we will meet
