hey i found this thread searching for some information about my grandfather
His name was jesus Siordia Gomez (probably brothjer of Juan). he was a famous psiquiatrist in Mexico Df (were i was born at). He had an important job at La Castaņeda mental institution during the 50s? 60s? maybe 40s and he also conducted de studies for Leon Trotskis` killer profile.
Almost all Siordia in Mexico City are relatives. My Gf was born in a small town in Jalisco State were there are streets with the Siordia surname.
There are lots of Siordias in jalisco State probably related from 3 or 4 generations before.
The story is as follows:
There was this priest from Ziordia (Villa de Siordia/Ziordia) in the Basque province outside Navarra (as quoted text posted earlier states.
i dont know any euskadi but i believe ziordiko is the basque name to Ziordia which became later Siordia when translated to castellano (i got my email login from that years ago)
who got tired of being a priest (or got caught with affairs with the female sex) and decided to travel (or auto exiliate) to Mexico by boat and decided to live la vida loca spreading the last name throughout Jalisco, Mexico and probably Veracruz States. He had several families. I dont know certainly if 1, 2, or 3 (maybe more) generations afterwards my Grandfather Jesus appeared. what i do know is at least in this branch of the tree the last name ends. he had with my grandmother Carmen Silva 5 girls making myself and all my cousins have Siordia as second last name.
greetings to all Siordias
jesus Hernan Casillas Siordia
