Re: Lost Ancestry
In Response To: Re: Lost Ancestry ()

Liz, I hope that the others in the thread read this email. I am from Texas and my grandfather Juan Rangel Siordia was from Mexico too. He was about 5'9 light skin, ligt hair and blue eyes. I've been told that Siordia, although most of us seem to be Mexican/Spanish, could be of Scilian decent--from the name Scordia. I've seen old Spanish writings of the name De Siordia. So, I'm not sure if it is De Siordia, Siordia, or Scordia. My grandfather was born in 1881 and died in San Antonio TX in 1971. My father is Juan Siordia, his brother is Jesus Siordia. I have a brother names Jesus Siordia as well and two cousins Jesse and Hector Siordia. My grandfather was married to my grandmother Elvira Moncada Villalobos in 1925.
