Hi, the bulk of the Kee, Phelps and Lawrence families are in my church (Mt Calvary in Vale}. Piney Grove is the ancestry church.Here is a list of the families of the Great Migration that stopped in Cleveland, Lincon and Gaston Counties ,NC. They came from Putnam, Green,Baldwin,and Jasper Counties , Georgia.
KEE, PHELPS, LAWRENCE, WILLIAMS, MADDOX, FARLEY,CLEMONS(CLEMENTS)DANIELS, ROSS,GARDENER,POUND,URSERY,WHITE, TINSLEY,VINSON,HUNT, SMITH,MONCREE,EARLY,BUTTS,STANFORD, THOMAS,HAINES, AND COATES.The other Primitive Baptist churches brought from Georgia were Indian Creek and Mt. Olive .They are all in a Georgia Primitive Baptist association. PLEASE SHARE WITH US ANY INFORMATION OF ANY OF THOSE FAMILIES IN THAT PART OF THE GREAT MIGRATION. THEY ALL HAD AT LEAST ONE NATIVE AMERICAN ANCESTOR AND THEY ARE RELATED,
