Excellent point David!

To me, frybread demonstrates resilience, ingenuity, & creativity in people. It illustrates that culture is flexible and also shows one of the ways in which culture is added-to.

Native people are not locked in some kind of Time Warp. Our traditions change and are molded by our circumstances. Fry Bread has become one of Indian Country's most treasured traditions; modern yes, traditional yes.
