You are correct Eli and sadly, Chad Smith and company knew beforehand what was coming when they did this to the Cherokee Nation. They had the Seminole cases to know they had no authority to oust the Freedmen, they had the BIA reaction to the Seminole vote to know what was coming down the pike. YET, they acted anyway! Our tribe has already spent over $1 million in fighting the Freedmen and that doesn't even count the cost from battles of the past. I say to the Choctaws and Creeks, TAKE HEED, your day is coming, fix this on your own terms by doing what is right by ALL of your people, including the Freedmen. Now that would be true self-determination!
