Farah Stokes, yes we are cousins i am a descendant of the Portee family in South Carolina, My Grand mothers Father was Howard Portee who was half French and half cherokee (His father was a portee I think his name was sam and his mother was a Cherokee whom actually lived on a reservation I remember my grandmother telling me this.
