Re: Lost Ancestry
In Response To: Re: Lost Ancestry ()

Dear Liz;
You're the second person today I find wanting to know about the origin of the last name Siordia. My name is jorge berumen siordia,
and with certainty I can tell you that the name comes from the part
of Jalisco Know as La laguna de Chapala. More precisely, San Nicolas
de Ibarra. There's where you will find must of your ancestors,and,
yes that branch probably came form somewhere in Europe,because a lot
of my tias had green and blue eyes,and so did my grandfather;however,they must've been living in the area for quite a
long time because they were simple people-peasants. How do I know?
My mom took me to visit some of her uncles-family,and they were
living in adobe houses and no light,running water etc,etc One of my mom's uncles gave me a ride in a horse which was parked in the back
of the house and help another tio go bring back the milk cows from
the laguna de chapala. So if you want to find out a little more
about the siordia people,you know where to go,eventhough, there's a
lot of blood in California and some guy inquiring all the way from
Switzerland. Take care
