Re: Lost Ancestry
In Response To: Re: Lost Ancestry ()

Dear sir;
My mom's last name was Siordia on account of my grandfather,Juan
Siordia, who migrated to california with three brothers from san
Nicolas de Ibarra en la laguna de Chapala. He must've been born
around the late 1890's because my Mom was born in 1923. so obviously
this is not the same Juan. However,he had green eyes and there
were some aunts with blond hair and blue eyes. When I was a little
boy living in Guadalajara there were an old couple living with my
grandma whose two children had drown while fishing at the dam(presa)
the old lady we used to call mama Maria and her husband's name was
Abundio. Anyways,as you know the name siordia is not a common one
even in mexico other then Jalisco especially around the Laguna de
Chapala where they came from. I'm not very close to that branch of
my familia,but I still remember some. By the way one of my grand-
father's brother name was Eduardo. I hope it helps.....
