Re: Indian Decendent/north/east Texas

We could be family! I am a African American Female and I too have family roots in Tyler Texas/east Texas within what is called, Cherokee County, Texas from as far back as the 1800's by way of bother mother and father. I currently have relatives in Dallas as it was the birth place of my mother. I also have relatives in California. I am in the initial stage of seeking and I would like to know about the DNA test to identify my indian heritage before I can seek a specific tribe.

My mother had honey-brown redish skin with unique nose and cheek bones. Her father's Indian features were very prominent, as he was of a lighter tone very visible cheek bones. I am a darked skinned women who has always had red undertunes and prominent nose and cheek bones as well. People have always asked me if I was of mixed heritage. Some say that they can accuately see the Indian features and have encourage me to investigate. My features have also been associated with others cultures such ethiopian but something inside of me has always connected to my Indian past.

Please write me back and share more information about your experience. I look forward to hearing from you.

I tend to be spiritial and has alway had abilities associated with gaining accurate insight into our environment. SEE, nature also gives me peace as well.
