Re: Census Records Online Search for JEFFERSON FAMILY

1979 was a sad turn in Creek History. I have yet to hear one (1) legitimate reason for excluding the Creek Freedmen and their descendants. Most excuses are based on half trues to outright lies.
I have asked myself who gave them the right to break a promise that our ancestors had given. My conclusion after these years of studying Creek History is racism. No other reason. Racism is about economics. These same people in 1979 also created a second class citizenship status that if you are less than 1/4 Creek blood, you cannot hold elective office.
This is the results of 100 years of Jim Crow. The lessons learned over the last hundred years of Oklahoma statehood is simply hate your brother, destroy your history, have no mercy or compassion, bare false witness, steal from the poor, don't work because the tribes will house you and feed you, blame others for your problems, learn the traditions that are convenient and oh yeah government sanction RACISM etc...
The Freedmen descendants don't have citizenship today because they will get free cheese, government housing, medical etc...
Really its a sad excuse....
