Re: Census Records Online Search for JEFFERSON FAMILY

Yes Norma, I to agree that The 1866 treaty should be Honored and that the "FREEDMAN" should be accepted in the Creek Nation...being that they struggled and fought along side the others citizens of the Creek Nation to obtain FREEDOM RESPECT and HONOR.

Yes...I also agree that it seems this is a game thats being played...which is absolutely ridiculous and is not fair. It seems that the only thing that can be done Is..TO KEEP TRYING AND TO NEVER GIVE UP. There was a Roll No. GIVEN..and the "FREEDMAN" were ADDED for a REASON...and it was not meant to DISINCLUDE the "FREEDMANS" as some are trying today...But it was made (in my own words from reading doucemts made after the war)... TO TAKE ROLL AND KEEP AN ACCOUNT OF THOSE THAT WERE CAPTURED... AND OF THE LAND THAT WAS TAKEN...and by the Dawes Enrollment book ... it helped them to conclude who will have A choice to have either money or land given to them ..because of the UNFAIR treatment that was given...EVERYONE on that list (DAWES ENROLLMENT BOOKS)...that was given A roll number was COUNTED AS A CITIZEN of that particular nation they were in and had rights to choose from the options given.

I said all of that to say this..IF IT WAS MEANT TO NOT INCLUDE THE "FREEDMAN"...THEY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ADDED..beleive me...from the storys I was told from my grandfather..THEY WOULD HAVE MADE IT KNOWN and very clear in letters DAWES ENROLLMENT BOOKS..etc...But they did not they INCLUDED EVERYONE up until 1979.

Well... the only thing THAT COUNTS if the Native African American Freedmans that ARE ALREADY CITIZENS... VOTE ... and consider the DAWES COMMISSION initial promise.

Thank You Norma
